As part of Geotechnics II, the basic principles of geostatic calculations are taught based on the principles of soil mechanics (Geotechnics I). In addition to the classic earth pressure theory, these also include methods based on this for the design of shallow and deep foundations (pile foundations). The module is rounded off with stability analyses of slope and terrain failures.
